Our Curriculum

At Heskin Pemberton’s we strive to provide a varied, relevant and stimulating curriculum in order to prepare each child for the next stages of their education and to give them the skills and enthusiasm they will need for the future.  The importance of developing all abilities of children is at the forefront of learning here at Heskin and everyone is committed to ensuring that our pupils are responsible, resilient and inquisitive individuals who demonstrate their confidence and excitement when encountering new challenges.  Expectations are always high and, as a school, we challenge and support every child in reaching their true potential. in solving increasingly complex problems. We also actively encourage the children to apply their mathematical understanding to Science, PE, DT and other subjects.

Intent

The curriculum delivered throughout every class enables learning to be revisited and strengthened.  Each new topic or area of learning is built upon previous learning and aims to support future learning of all pupils.

Subject Areas

At Heskin Pemberton’s all of our subjects are carefully planned and mapped out over two year cycles to ensure a balanced and thorough curriculum coverage.
